my fat

Your moms beautiful smile would always light up the room, when she seen me and my son come in, or for that matter anyone she cared about..

The funny thing is. although I knew she loved me , she could never ever remember my name, yet she could remember my sons, so instead she called me friend, something that made me very proud.

Even though her english was broken, we always found something to talk about, and understood each other, she loved to tell me stories about all the things she did when younger, and her dandelion wine.

She was especially proud that her grandson she said liked her wine the best, she always said some day I will make you some and you will see..

I had a dream of her the night before she passed.. she was running through a field of well yep you guessed it dandelions lol.. I'm sure she is whipping up a batch up there in heaven.

I always felt a mixture of feelings when it came time to leave her side, because sometimes she would say nooooo don't go you stay you can have my bed, she was such a kind giving gentle lady..She would say I miss you when you're not here, I knew she did as we missed her also..But soon as I would hug her and kiss her forhead and say bye bye.. she would give me that gorgeous smile of hers and say ni ni..

But the funniest thing between us was, one day we were sitting down stairs at pub night, and she took a drink of her wine, then looked at me and said with a wonderful smile on her face, you know you're fat...Well of course it made me nearly spit out my drink lol.. she meant it in all kindness though, because she explained how she liked my fat..

She said she had never been fat in her life, and her son would say to her mommy how come you have no fat,she said she just never was.  And she had wanted to be, and it was good I was because men liked ladies with fat on them...God love her, she frequently told me after that how she liked my fat lol..

She was a wonderful lady, always full of compliments, telling me almost every time I was in there that she liked my top, or my dress, or my shoes..

I have many memories to treasure of her, but the one that will always stick out first an foremost is her commenting on my fat lol..

She was and will always be a blessing in our heart an thoughts, Thank you Mary Ann and Margaret for sharing your mom with us..
