Obituary for John Anthony "'Sean'" Kavanagh

Kavanagh, John Anthony. (Sean)
Passed peacefully on July 21st 2016

Sean (Johnny glug glug) Kavanagh lost his short battle with lung cancer.

The one and only true Irishman that conducted himself with class grace and dignity until the end. Truly independent every day, he lived life on his terms and did it his way right up until his last days.

Sadly missed by daughter Shannon Hartley and son-in-law Ciaran, son Tyrone, their mother Penny and multiple siblings in Ireland and England; Jimmy, Paul, Connie, Brendan, Patrick and Margaret (girlie) and their families.
Survived by his only grandson Dorian Hartley, and his wife Shawna
Great grand-daughters Kiera and Madden.

Johnny will always be known as the life of the party and when he walked in the room everything stopped, people flocked to be near him to listen to his storytelling, and will be sadly missed by his many friends from all walks of life including Gerry, Marty and Kit as well his pub patrons at the Black Dog and Walsh’s in Ireland.
His charismatic presence, love of life and genuine fierce loyalty will be forever remembered.
A true Irish gentlemen until the very end, lived every day with passion and pride.

A full Irish wake will be held at his local pub in September at the Black Dog where everyone is welcome for a proper send off.

Dates and details will follow via social media.
Also in September his ashes will be forever homed with his beloved Paddy and Mary Kavanagh from Mitchellstown County Cork,

As Papa would say, ‘live life now and enjoy it, because what else can you do?
And we’ll see you again on this side or the other”
