Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces Long-Term Care Home, Oshawa on Friday January 17th, 2020 at the age of 80. Originally from Gold River, Nova Scotia and has resided in Ontario since 1967.
Dearly loved wife of Robert (Bob) Mitchell. Much loved mother of Tony Sawler (Judy), Robert Sawler, Lucinda Sawler, Trevor Sawler, Candace Taylor (Gary). Predeceased by her daughter Tanya Faulkner (surviving David).
Cherished Nanny of Terra, Trevor (Amanda), Tiffany, Troy, Jesse (Suman), Tasha (Dave), Mitchell, Justine, Krista (Sam), Dallas and Connor. Great grandmother of Tiana (Corey), Liam, Kam’ron, Ethan, Tony, Ava, Annabella, Charlotte and Brooklyn. Great Great grandmother of Tesla.
Dear sister of Sheila Campbell (Bryce) and William Rafuse (Bonnie) and predeceased by her parents Moyle and Mary Rafuse, sisters Frances Myra (surviving Roy) and Joan McPherson.
Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Life service will follow in the Barnes Chapel Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
Your presence is our desire, should you wish donations, they can be made to Hillsdale Terraces Social Committee in lieu of flowers. Donations will be received at the funeral home by cheque payable to Hillsdale Social Committee or The Alzheimer’s Society.
