Private Condolence

My deepest condolences to his family and to all who knew him,
I had the pleasure and privilege to have known Pat in high school. He lived life with a degree of passion and caring that I have never witnessed since. For the world to have lost him so early is both shocking and deeply saddening. I will never forget how he helped me through a very difficult time in my life simply by being the honest, open, caring, and fun loving person that he was.
Patrick...Pat. Wherever you are, know that you always made a positive impact wherever you went and that you will be missed and honoured, always.
With my deepest respect,
Brian Seto

My Condolences to family and friends. I had the pleasure of attending College with Pat so many moons ago. He was serious about his schooling and would always tell me to stop goofing off and learn. R.I.P. Patrick. Your step sister Lydia Gerritsen

To Alex and Albert and Pat’s Mom,
I just did the math and Pat and I had been friends for 37 years. We met at Sunset Heights about a year after you guys arrived in Canada. I remember him telling me that he had only been speaking English for a year and I was amazed at his fluency, but we all know that when Pat wanted to do something he did it with gusto and he did it well. He used to ask me what the odd word meant, and I never if he was really asking or setting me up for a gag. Pat had an awesome sense of humor.
Pat and I grew up together and no one could ask for a more stalwart friend. He was fearless when you were in trouble and clowning around the moment it was over.
I could write a novel about the silly, crazy things we did, but that’s not appropriate here.
What I will say is, when you were Pat’s friend, you were under his wing and he was always there if you needed him. When I was a lot younger and very sick Pat would come to check on every day and take me out for fish and chips. Just being around him was uplifting. He had such a powerful presence.
I just wanted you to know that as you mourn, I mourn with you and I wish I could offer something more than these words. I will see you on Friday. If I can help with anything, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
With deepest sympathies,
Chris Luttrell
