Obituary for Gerald Ewing
Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday July 15th, 2019 at the age of 84.
Predeceased by his wife Glenna ( 2000 ) Predeceased by his parents Robert and Catherine Ewing.
Loving father of Shawn and his wife Patricia, Craig and his wife Terry, Kevin and his wife Julie and Glen and his wife Karen.
Grandfather of Chelsea, Delaney, John, Mitchell, Jesse, Brendon, Taylor, Emmerson and Easton.
Dear brother of Peter, Rose, Delia, Brian, Madge, Vonnie, Anne and Brendan. Predeceased by John, Maureen, Tom, Bertie, Kerian and Raymond. Survived by his sister-in-law Joan Rutherford.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Gerald came to Canada from Northern Ireland in 1952. He settled in Oshawa, worked on a farm and then in house construction. He married Glenna in 1959. He founded Ewing Pools in 1968, before retiring in 2010. He enjoyed cooking family dinners, outings to the casino, hosting visiting relatives, and spending time with his grandchildren and granddogs.
Private family cremation has taken place, a celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
