Obituary for David George Crichton

Crichton, David George

Retired Detective Sergeant (150), Toronto Police Service - 32 years service.

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday January 3rd, 2019 at the age of 86.
Predeceased in 2016 by Norma (nee Braithwaite), his wife of 63 years.

Much loved dad of David and his wife Violet of Scarborough, Kim Stainsby and her husband Mark of Brooklin and James and his wife Dasza of Nestleton.

Grandfather of David (Samantha), Nicholas (Paige), Julia, Natasha (Alex) and Monique. Predeceased by his parents James Crichton and Annie (Whyte) Crichton.

Survived by his sister Betty Julian (late Nelson) and sister-in-law Ivy (late Bill). Predeceased by his brother Alec (Doris), and sisters Margaret (Reg), Mary (Don), Jean (Cliff), Ruth (Bob) and Anna (Bill).

Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families.

Dad was a well-trained husband, at the ready for any job that needed doing or any adventure that Norma wanted to take. Together, they thoroughly enjoyed their 25 years of retirement in Picton. In keeping with his “don’t fuss over me” attitude, a private family cremation has taken place.

In memory of David, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
