Cheers to a wonderful neighbourhood mom who provided us kids on Woodside Drive with such happy childhood memories. We were always welcome at her home and greeted with a smile. Miss you fondly. - Andrea Lorimer

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Miriam. She and I were not only table mates for meals at HarmonyHill but we shared friendship and lots of laughs. Your share is empty but our hearts are full with fond memories. Rest In Peace my friend ❤️.

I have had the privilege of knowing Miriam as a friend and dinner tablemate for the last few months since I arrived at Harmony Hill Retirement Residence. She and I shared many things in common, including our love of the arts, classical music, living with Parkinson's Disease and appreciation of cultural events. We would often spend the evenings while waiting for dinner, discussing politics, religion and other philosophical topics. We shared many laughs, mainly attributed to Miriam's incredible self-deprecating sense of humour and her unique view of the human condition. Even when she was telling me about some of her ailments, she never complained and would always laugh at herself while graciously accepting the aging process as a part of life. Whenever I was discouraged, she would always make sure to call me or send a card. Miriam was a true inspiration to me and I am very thankful for the short time that I knew her. I will genuinely miss dear Miriam.

I have so many fond memories of Miriam Carr, and playing at the Carr’s as a child with Catherine, Sonja and Birgitta. I will forever think of her when I smell freshly baked Pulla coming out of the oven. If we were lucky she would serve it warm to us! I am so sorry for your loss.
