Obituary for Helen Mae DeHetre
Passed away at the Village of Taunton Mills on Friday February 23rd, 2018 at the age of 102.
Predeceased by her husband Earl A. DeHetre.
Loving mother of Giles and his wife Barbara of Whitby. Pre-deceased by her son James (2005)
Survived by her daughter-in-law Debra DeHetre of Oshawa.
Cherished Grandmother of Jennifer and her partner Jeff of Kitchener, Douglas of Whitby, Sarah of Oshawa, Nicole and her husband Geoff of Calgary and Rebecca of Edmonton. Great Grandmother of Mason.
Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Tuesday February 27th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Members of the Lions Family are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:45 p.m. for service at 7:00p.m.
A celebration of a Life well lived will be held in the Barnes Chapel Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m.
Helen will be laid to rest beside her husband at Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin.
A very heartfelt thank you the Village of Taunton Mills for their compassionate care to Helen for the last seven years.
In Helen’s memory, memorial donations to Lion’s International Dog Guides or Camp Kirk would be appreciated. Donations can be completed by cheque at the funeral home payable to Lions Club Camp Kirk Foundation or Lions Foundation of Canada (Guide Dogs).
