Condolences

Condolence From: Greg Hines
Condolence: Dear John, Ginny, Steve and Lizza. I was surprised to hear of Gerry's passing today. He was always so fit and so strong. I have fond memories of the Christmas parties and his music. Not so fond of the many times he beat me at ping pong. Gerry - rest in peace. Bless you all.

Condolence From: Phyllis and children
Condolence: I have always wanted to thank your father for something he did for myself and my children, many, many, many years ago. When I saw his obituary in the paper, I felt I wanted to say something to you, his family. I became a single mother in Bowmanville in 1975, and your Dad was the only person who would rent to me. In that day and age, people were not inclined to rent to a single mother, and so, I was turned down by everyone; but along came your Dad, and he happily rented out his unit on Division St to me -- even knowing that I was a single Mom with 3 growing kids. I lived there for 5 years, and he was the kindest landlord I have ever met. Be very proud of your Dad -- he helped me to give my 3 children stability and roots. God bless him.

Condolence From: Marie Verschuuren & Gary Pottruff
Condolence: Dear John, Ginny, Steve, and Liza and your families - It's been a difficult journey for you all and, especially, for your Dad these past few years as he struggled with his health. The fond memories of times past - I think of Gerry entertaining everyone with his accordion at family events - will be those that stay meaningful to me. You are in our hearts. Love, Gary and Marie

Condolence: Elizabeth,

I was saddened to hear about your father's death. I only met him once actually at your wedding at Big Bay Point. We had such a nice conversation and he was so happy for you and Craig.

You have a big family and all of you will help each other heal. There certainly are lots of good memories that will bring a smile to your face over the years.

See you Saturday,

Love Candy

Condolence: We would like to extend our sincere condolences to John and all of the Van Kuik family on the loss of Gerry . May you all find strength in the support and love of each other and the bond that connects you all to 'dad'. Remember all the good times and tuck those sweet memories away and pull them out when you are missing him dearly and need his smile . May your dad be resting peacefully now John .

All our love ,
Your Weber friends . XO
