Condolence: I had the great pleasure of serving with Ken in the Ceremonial Guard nearly forty years ago and I will always cherish those memories of his impish smile and enormous capacity for humour. He was truly a legend and will be missed by all who served with him, irrespective of their military rank, as Ken was a friend to all.

My sincere condolences to the Irons family, the world is a poorer place now without him.

Condolence: Dear Alson,

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting your father when he first came into our office here at the Salvation Army in St. Marys and gave us a donation cheque for the food bank. He gave me one of his calling cards which I still have and hold dear and chuckle at every time I look at it. He was the best advocate a feline creature could ever ask for. He gave generously so that folks who used our Salvation Army Food Bank and who had pets, cats in particular, would always be able to feed their kitties. He will be missed by those of us here who knew him. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: Dear Alison,

I met your Dad at Earlscourt more than a year ago when my Mom and he were table mates. Our family was grateful for the conversation & humour he brought to meals, especially as he went out of his way to make everyone feel comfortable. What a wonderful character and great raconteur!

I was glad to read that your Dad's last year was spent out of London & closer to you. I expect that would have made him very, very happy. He certainly loved his family.

My sympathy to you on his passing. May happier memories eventually replace the tears and empty spaces in your heart.

Condolence: Dear Dad, it has only been four days and already I am feeling the "caregiver loss". I keep driving by the street where the nursing home is and thinking I should stop in and see you, or perhaps bring you some more ginger ale. I don't think the profundity of your loss has sunk in yet. I love you more than words can say. Alison
