Traditional Service Options we offer customized service options that may be inclusive of four, two or one hour visitation prior to a funeral service. Our service options are also priced individually and are inclusive of all funeral home costs applicable (disbursements and merchandise are priced separately, HST will apply).
You may wish to customize your own funeral services.
Cremation Cremation is a very important part of our service choices, in the last number of years this option has become much more popular.
Cremation is an alternative to earth burial, we have specially designed cremation service options to include visitation and memorial services if this is your wish, we believe that cremation does not need to replace any of the traditional elements of our services.
However; if simple cremation with private family gatherings or rituals in your home or another special place is the respectable final wish, we will provide our 'direct cremation' service option for the lowest cost, complete.

Our family of staff and facility will accommodate your specific family requests. Celebration of Life Service, very often families prefer to have a basic service or reception to celebrate a life that was lived, the focus becomes a celebration among family members and friends, where fond memories will be shared, photos displayed, favourite songs may be played and perhaps a light lunch and refreshments served.
Music, your choice of music is very important, whether it be classical, rock, traditional hymns, a soloist or bagpiper we can arrange this for you. You may also supply your own music to be played during visitation and service.
You may have a close friend or family member who wishes to take part in a musical tribute, we welcome this and think this is a wonderful way to personalize your service.
Pictures and Mementos We encourage families to bring treasured belongings, photos and mementos to be displayed at the funeral home. We believe that personalization of any service will provide a strong meaning for your friends and family during this difficult time.
Online Condolences We are equipped to receive online messages for the families we serve on your behalf, the messages will be printed and given directly to the family. It is comforting to feel as though your thoughts can be expressed to the family, even if you can not be here in person.
Casket and Urn Selection We offer a wide variety of caskets and urns in every price range. Many of our caskets are made right here in Ontario.
Urns are a personal choice, we have an excellent selection of urns in a variety of materials, we also offer a selection of Solid wood handcrafted urns that are exclusive to Barnes Memorial Funeral Home. You may wish to supply your own urn, we would be pleased to offer suggestions and information regarding size.
Stationery Options Our cremation service options are inclusive of our signature register book and thank you cards, however if you wish to choose and upgrade package we offer an excellent selection for your consideration.
Receptions This part of our service has become very important. As a celebration of a life continues family often like to have a time for refreshments and visit with family and friends. Our caterer will supply your food and beverages for you. Beverages are a personal choice, if necessary a liquor license can be acquired for your family reception.
Aftercare & Grief Counselling We understand that every loss is significant and have a variety of resources to support you in the process of understanding and dealing with all of the feelings associated with your loved one's passing.
