Condolence: My sincere sympathy to the family. I met “Cactus” Jack through Country Music dances. Jack always made me laugh and was a real gentlemen. He told many stories and loved to perform. He will be deeply missed. RIP Jack.

Condolence: Cindy, Martin and I want to extend our most sincere condolences on the passing of your Dad......"Cactus Jack". He was loved by all who met him. We became friends with him through the country music and what a legend he was everywhere he went. We loved to listen to his stories and his songs. He's singing up yonder now for a whole new bunch of friends! We will miss him always! Mary & Martin Broeders

Condolence: Our deepest sympathies to Cindy & family; As you know, your Dad & I were friends for more than 20 years. We shared many stories, songs & laughs. He left a tremendous impact on everyone he met. He always found a way to make people laugh & have a good time... but he had a serious side that it seemed he was afraid to show. He loved his family & friends and would do anything for them. Here's part of a song I wrote for my dear friend.

You're not gone, you're still here
We won't forget you, so have no fear
You left us memories throughout the years
Though you're gone from our eyes today
Your spirit follows along the way
You're not gone, no you're not gone
You're still here.

Condolence From: Rich & Kim Gibbings
Condolence: Had the pleasure of meeting Cactus Jack for the first time in Newmarket close to 30 years ago, as part of the Gibbings Family Band (GFB), backing the Chef Adams variety show. A few years ago, we were reacquainted at the Black Dog pub in Orono, while sitting in with Garry & Arlene (Classic Country). Jack had the best sense of humour, with many jokes, stories and a smile for everyone. What a positive energy, even in his later years. He was so welcoming and lovable! Sometimes Jack tapped his foot to his own beat, but we all loved him just the same! RIP our friend.
