Obituary for Daniel Dennis Surette

Surette, Daniel Dennis

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dan Surette. Dan was larger than life and loved, laughed and lived with passion and joy for all of his 53 years.

Dan loved music, art, travel, food (especially trying out new cooking gadgets) and he had so many plans and dreams. He did not know the meaning of the word moderation and did everything, be it collecting guitars, watching the Leafs, telling a story or hosting a party and loving his family with such gusto that he wore his heart out.

Dan trained as an x-ray tech and had a long and successful career in sales and marketing with Phillips Medical Systems and GE Healthcare. These jobs gave him the opportunity to travel, but more importantly, to learn about healthcare and how to help as many people as possible through the use of technology.

Dan will be forever missed by his wife and partner of 27 years Anne; the lights of his life, his daughters Emilie and Lily; his friend and sister Michele and her husband Dave; and his role models and parents Hank & Sheila. Plus all of his extended family and all of the friends he made along the way of his too short journey.

Visitation will be held at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Friday June 1st from 10:30 a.m. until time of Service of Remembrance in the Chapel Friday at Noon.

In memory of Dan, memorial donations to World Vision Canada would be appreciated.
