Condolence From: Doug Peacock
Condolence: Read the Memoriam today and brought back memories of my days at Winston Churchill collegiate and time together with Bob. As a new Principal, I counted on Bob for his advice and knowledge of the traditions of the school. Bob was a devoted French teacher much respected by staff and students. He also shared a love of baseball and the Blue Jays so our meetings often digressed to baseball talk as plans were made to enhance the programs at WCCI. Bob had a great sense of humour. He was one of the key educators who contributed to the success of Churchill for many years. My sincere condolences to the family. Happy to read that Bob enjoyed his retirement years. Greatly deserved.

Condolence: My deepest sympathies! I have memories of your dad at Winston Churchill Collegiate Institute where I used to work as a secretary in the main office. He was a true gentleman and of course he did have a great sense of humour and he was well-liked and was admired from the WCCI staff as well.

Condolence: I was so sorry to read of Bob's death in the Globe today. I was 20 years old when I started teaching in the French department at Winston Churchill CI and 'Sparks' (as we called him) took me under his wing. I was most grateful for his tutelage, his super sense of humour and of course for the wonderful parties at the Beaches duplex. And wasn't I delighted when one of the twins was named ELYSE, proper spelling and all!
I hope it brings comfort to know that he will be long remembered.
