Condolences

Condolence From: Janie Forsythe
Condolence: I was sorry to hear that Don has passed away. Many decades ago, my family used to visit Fred and Evelyn at their home in Vittoria. My mom, Leah, had known Evelyn for a long time.

The last time I saw Evelyn was after Fred had passed away. She dropped by my place a couple years after my marriage, bringing me beautiful orange striped pillow cases with matching tatting. I still have them and use them! I believe that she was on her way home from visiting Stacey and Marion. Her car was packed with essentials for someone who spent quite a bit of time on the road, visiting her children and friends. Her cat was in the back window of the car.

Evelyn was so proud of Don and his work at The Toronto Star and all the accolades he earned! I know he brought her a lot of happiness.

Please accept my sympathies,
Janie Forsythe, daughter of the late George and Leah Armstrong, of Langton, Ontario

Condolence: Sorry to read of Don's passing in the Star this morning.
We were both NNA winners in photography in 1974 and I was in awe of him as he also won the NNA the previous year.
Lovely man !!!
Regards
Doug
