Obituary for Keith Clark

1924 - 2017

It is with great sadness that Keith's family announces his passing on Thursday March 9, 2017 after a long illness. He is survived by Jean (Shafer), his beloved wife of 65 years and his daughters Patricia (Clem) Hallmann and Susan (Jim) Keill. He was the proud Grandpa of Paul (Fanfan) Hallmann and Elizabeth (Brandon) Early and Great Grandpa of Sophia and Serena Hallmann and Josh and Connor Keith Early. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his great grandson Lucas Clark Hallmann, his siblings Kenneth, Sam, Mike, Ruth Clark, Betty Kalina, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Helen and Ken Buchanan.

Keith was born on the family homestead in southeastern Saskatchewan and remained a loyal 'westerner' for his whole life. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan (1948) in Chemical Engineering and worked for Unilever in Toronto for most of his career. Keith retired in 1981 and spent many happy years building a country home and travelling around the world with Jean. His many photographs are a special legacy for his family.

At Keith's request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, Whitby. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Taunton Mills in Whitby for the gentle and kind attention to his care that made his last two years comfortable.
