Condolence From: Chris COLLINS #797
Condolence: To Family and friends. Kenneth GARDINER, affectionately known to me as Uncle Kenny. For such a private man he had such a kind and generous heart. What a great loss to family and friends. He will be truely missed and thought of fondly. Uncle Kenny was my Staff Sergeant for many of my early growing years in Policing. Staff GARDINER took me under his wing and would often say " Ohhh Chrisssy you will learn some day". I will never forget this pillar of a man. With so much love, Chrisssy. Rest in Peace my friend.

Condolence From: Paul Mitton
Condolence: My deepest sympathy to Ken's family. Ken was my supervisor for a number of years in the early 90's. By far and away the best supervisor in any job I have worked for. It is easy to work for a person who you admire and respect. Ken would often say 'family first' to me and one night he allowed me to spend several hours at my grandmother's bedside with my cruiser parked out front of Bowmanville Hospital. We were short on manpower that night but I spent several hours with her and she died later that day. I have thought of Ken often over the years and am so sad to hear of his passing. Rest in Peace.

Condolence From: Gail and Dean Westbrook (Retired Superintendent DRPS)
Condolence: Our deepest condolences to Ken's family. Ken was one of my coaches for ladies baseball in late 70's. He helped us to win two championships. A quiet guy with a great sense of humor and a true gentleman. Dean remembers him as being a very competent Officer deserving of his rank. He will be sadly missed and we both feel blessed in knowing Ken.
