Obituary for Ernest Norman "Ernie" Laton
Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on September 19, 2016 at the age of 81.
Beloved husband and best friend for 57 years of Pat Laton of Brooklin.
Loved and loving dad of Dan (Carolyn), David (Marg), Karen (Brad) and Shawn.
Cherished Papa and grandfather of Sarah, Alexandria, Chantal, Julia, Katie, Adam, Jessica, Michael & Jeffery and Great Grandfather of two.
Survived by his sisters Doris (late Paul), Jacqueline (Jack) and Lillian (Jim). Pre-deceased by his brother Don (Priscilla).
Ernie is lovingly remembered by the Cannon family and their families as well as extended family and his many friends.
A heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses of the palliative care unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their care and compassion, as well as all the love and support of our family and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Family and friends will gather at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church (130 Watford St. Brooklin) on Friday September 23rd at 11:00 am for Funeral Mass followed by a service of interment at resurrection Catholic Cemetery Whitby.
