Condolence: I think I shall never see
The kind of Mom you've been to me
With laughing heart and caring ways
You brighten all my childhood days

And I grew with cares and woes
You nurtured me like a special rose
Your advice though not always heeded
Was exactly what I'm sure I needed

When I found my choice of mate
You shook your head after our first date
You suggested that I wait some years
I'm sure hoping to save me tears

My children you loved with open joy
Mark was your little sweetheart boy
Taking off glasses meant roughhouse fun
At making up stories you were number one

When we added to our brood
You accepted them without attitude
They were as special as the rest
As a Grammie you're the best

This poem could never end
The best of mothers wife and friend
And now that the end is here
Know that you'll be remembered throughout the years

The love you gave will help us through
The hardest part of loosing you

Condolence: Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
