Condolences

Condolence From: Steven Taylor
Condolence: Allison and Wendy and Family,

I just learned tonight of the passing of Gerry. My heart goes out to you both and to the families for the pain you must be feeling.

Gerry, I remember with fondness for his care, guidance and compassion. His strength and insight were always admired. We had many deep conversations in the years gone by. I remember kind guidance coming from kind and long talks on nights I stayed over when travelling back and forth to New Brunswick and a few other times. His insight and clarity of thought, yet openness to listen was wonderful.

It wasn't until I was almost 20 that I stopped calling him "uncle Gerry". As we sat in Aunt Lucy's one rainy afternoon he reminded (no explained to) me that technically we were cousins - at some distant level - as he explained the family line. He and my mother were cousins.

Although years have passed, the many memories have remained in my heart and mind as well as the warmness I have felt.

Wishing you strength and courage at this very difficult time.

Rest in Peace Gerry!

Steven Taylor and Family

Condolence: Dear, Wendy and Allison, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Gerry. I just learned of his passing this morning after I saw the article about Aunt Lucy's. I remember when I was about 15 coming down to Kingston and Gerry treating us to Aunt Lucy's and then for a boat ride. It was a great time. My deepest condolences to the entire Warne Family.

Sincerely, Debbie, Heather and Shannon

Condolence: Dear Mrs. Warne, Allison and families,
I was very sorry to hear of your loss. Your husband and father was a great man who will be missed and remembered by so many of the Aunt Lucy's community. I hope that it gives you comfort to know that he touched many lives in a very favorable way. He gave so many a start by providing us, not just with employment, but his friendship as well.

Condolence: Dear Wendy, Allison and family,
With a heavy heart, today we'll say good-bye to a kind and very dear friend... In the past week I've been thinking about all the laughs and talks we had with Gerry while my husband shared the room with him for several weeks at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and then spending time together in Whitby Hospital. I will always remember how both of them fell asleep on July 1st and let me watch the fireworks by myself... It was supposed to be a party:)Forever I teased Gerry about that. His sweet smile, kind words and stories shared will be missed. Happy to say that in the short time I have known him and Wendy we became close and felt that we were friends for many years. So blessed to have Gerry in our lives for the past year, we will miss him! With our love, Radu and Vera Bala

Condolence: Dear Wendy,

My deepest sympathy. It was such sad news for me to hear that "Mr. Warne" passed away. He was my first boss and was an amazing man-I learned a lot from him both professionally and personally.

I wish you all the best.

Greetings from Berlin,
Theresa
