Obituary for Gerald Douglas "Gerry" Warne
Passed away surrounded by family on May 1st, 2016 in his 83rd year. Much loved husband of Wendy (Vaxvick) Warne of Whitby. Loving father of Allison Warne and her partner William Morgan of Toronto, Matthew Vaxvick and his wife Tereasa Clayton Vaxvick of Whitby. Survived by his daughter-in-law Anne Corrigan and sister-in-law Betty Warne. Pre-deceased by his two sons Douglas (1995) and Geoffrey (2001).
Dear Papa of Derek (Dominque), Sarah, Alexander, Matthew, Ethan and Nicole.
Dear brother-in-law of Donna Carl (late Bob), Leesa Young (John), Karen Vaxvick (Bill), and Hilary McPherson (Neil).
Gerry is Pre-deceased by his parents Richard and Edna (Coffey) Warne as well as his brother Ronald Warne. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Gerry was a well respected entrepreneur in the restaurant business for over 50 years. He will be fondly remembered by his many friends and business associates.
Visitation at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 101 Winchester Rd. E. Brooklin on Saturday May 7th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow in the Church on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
