Obituary for Shirley Marina Oates
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday October 10th at the age of 79.
Dearly beloved wife of Andy for 56 years.
Loving mother of Bradley (Carol) and Susan (David).
Grandmother to Jennifer (Evan), Andrew, Curtis and Amy. Sister to Margaret Parker. Born in Newfoundland, Shirley moved to Toronto when she was 11 years old. Shirley was a Real Estate Agent with Royal LePage.
A special thank you to Thornton View Nursing Home for their loving care and compassion.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Road N., Whitby, on Thursday October 15th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm. A Funeral Service to celebrate Shirley’s life will be held Friday October 16th at 10 am.
Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Willowdale.
In Memory of Shirley donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
