Obituary for John George "Jack" Knight
Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on October 4, 2015 at the age of 85.
Beloved husband of Joan Knight (nee Lane) for 62 years. Much loved father of Linda (Kirby),
Cathy (Rob), Laura (Martin) and Pre-deceased by son John. Cherished Grandfather of Leslie (Colin), Matthew (Kira), David, Ashley (James), Kaitlynn, Carolyn and John. Great-Grandfather of Madeline and Madalynn.
Lovingly remembered by many Nieces, Nephews, extended family and friends.
Special thank you to Dr. Ngo and Dr. David Ibsen as well as all the staff at Lakeridge Health Corporation Oshawa Palliative Care.
Family and friends will be received at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby 905-655-3662 on Wednesday October 7th from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Followed by a service honouring John’s life in the Barnes Chapel at 12:00 noon.
In memory of John, memorial donations to Lakeridge Health Foundation for Palliative Care, would be appreciated by the family.
