Obituary for John "Jack" Harman

HARMAN, John (Jack) Harman on Saturday, July 25th in his 88th year, passed peacefully in his sleep at Taunton Mills Retirement Home. Enormous gratitude to the Perry staff for providing such wonderful care.

Survived by his one true love & sweetheart JoAnne (Hamilton) married 61 years, forever love. He will always be in the hearts of his children, Mark & Sandie Harman, Kathleen (Harman) & Mike Smith, Maureen (Harman) & Paul Leslie and has left a treasured imprint on his loving grandchildren; Robert (Sandra-lee), Greg, Kyle (Melissa), Jennifer (Colin), Michael (Alley), Christopher & Thomas. Great Grandpa to James, Emily and Charlie.

Beloved son of the late Boniface and Marjorie Harman, brother of Helen Canning, late Myra Buckley & all his loving nieces and nephews. Jack, born February 1, 1927 in Toronto had a very successful career in the security industry, retiring from DSC in 1993. Jack was an avid boater, skilled cabinet-maker, extensive reader, HAM radio enthusiast, always doing – never idle. He was active in all of our lives, few words can express the gratitude, admiration, great love & pride that we have for our dad, he was an incredible man. His legacy will live on through us all & he will be forever missed.
