Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on July 24, 2015 at the age of 80.

Beloved husband of Marion Stafford for 60 years. Loving father of David and his wife Jill, Ken, and Michael and his wife Moira. Cherished grandfather to Michelle, Sarah and Aidan and great grandfather to Grant and Clare. Jim is survived by his siblings Norma Smith (Gord) and Robert (Helen).

Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and his friends.

Family and friends will be received at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby 905-655-3662 for visitation on Wednesday July 29th from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. A memorial service honouring Jim’s life will follow in the Barnes Chapel at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Alzheimer Society and would be appreciated by the family.
