Obituary for Sharon Jean Emm (Hopkins)
With profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. Sharon passed on Monday April 6th, 2015 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 68. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Tony Emm.
Much loved mother of Andrea Silva (Emm) of Oshawa and John Emm of Bowmanville.
Cherished Grandma of Leighton and ‘Boomer’.
Daughter of Grace Hopkins and the late John Hopkins. Dearest sister of Barbara Schunk (Hopkins) of Oshawa, Jim Hopkins of Ashburn, Bill Hopkins and his wife Debbie of Orillia and Scott Hopkins (Lisa) of Stouffville.
Sharon will be forever remembered by her brother and sister-in-law Gerry and Betty Emm. Sharon will be missed by her extended family including Aunts and Uncles, Nieces and Nephews and their families.
Resting at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be held in the Barnes Chapel on Saturday (April 11th) at 12:00 Noon.
Interment will follow the service at Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin.
In memory of Sharon, memorial donations to Hearth Place Cancer Support Center in Oshawa.
Sharon’s family would like to offer their heartfelt thank you to Dr. Nassan and staff as well as many others including the Ladies Auxillary at Lakeridge for their care and compassion.
