The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Wilma Lynde can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Wilma Joan Lynde

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday October 19th, 2014 at the age of 84. Predeceased by her husband Jim Lynde (1993)

Much loved mother of Bryce and his wife Pauline of Orono, Leslie Guthrie and her husband Don of Mount Elgin, Jo-Anne Costantino and her husband Gino of Bracebridge, Lori and Rob of Oshawa and Larry and his wife Christine of Janetville. Predeceased by her daughter Janette (1973)

Loved Grandmother of Angela, Adrian, Kelly, Kristie, Michael, Janelle, Jaymie, Brittany and James.

Great-Grandmother of Zachary,Olivya, Tucker, Parker, Cole, Lane, Abigail and Eli.

Pre-deceased by her brother Nelson and her sisters June and Edith. Remembered by her brother and sister-in-laws as well as their families.


Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N Whitby from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. A service to celebrate Wilma’s life will be held in the Barnes Chapel Friday (October 24th) at 1:00 p.m.

In memory of Wilma, memorial donations to Lakeridge Health Foundation (Cardiac Care) would be appreciated.
