Obituary for Edward Edwin Goodridge
Passed peacefully with family present with grace and courage at the Wynfield on Saturday August 2nd 2014 at the age of 78.
Loved husband of Georgina for 54 years. Much loved Dad of Valerie and her husband Fred Penney of Port Perry, Andrew and his wife Linda of Waterloo and Paul and his wife Lisa of Ottawa.
Adored by his grandchildren Joel (Nicole), Nathan, Heather, Julia, Caleb, Aaron, Hannah, Sarah, Hayden and Grace.
Survived by his brother Roy (Denise) of Toronto and his sisters Audrey Cottrell of Nashville, Eileen Sissnett (Rudy) of Bowmanville, Elsie Hanson of Vancouver. Predeceased by his sister Dorothy and his brothers Sydney, Grafton, and Winston.
Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and extended family.
Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby from 2:00 p.m. Tuesday August 5th until time of memorial service to follow in the Barnes Chapel at 3:00 p.m.
In memory of Ed, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region or Lakeridge Health Foundation (Cancer Care) would be appreciated by the family.
