The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sophie Campitelli can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Sophie Campitelli (Chenkaluk)

Passed away peacefully at Rouge Valley Ajax-Pickering Hospital with her family by her side on Sunday January 19th in her 83rd year.

Beloved wife of the late Fred Campitelli.

Loved and loving mother and grandmother. Sophie is fondly remembered by all her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Friday January 24th between 2:00-4:00 p.m and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A private family funeral service will take place on Saturday.

Many thanks to the staff of the emergency department at the Rouge Valley Ajax-Pickering Hospital for their compassion and care.
